Winslow

March 22, 2010 - Winslow was rescued at Athens-Clarke County Animal Control. He was found emaciated and wandering the streets with a severe case of demodex mange and secondary skin infections. He is only about 6 to 7 months old and has such a wonderful temperament. A University of Georgia vet started him on his meds. He will need several months of treatment and care but should recover fully. We'll keep you posted on his progress.

Update 3/30: Winslow is still suffering terrible discomfort but is very stoic about it. It is hard to see any improvement in but he is starting to heal. At least he isn't hungry anymore.

Update 4/14: The redness is just about gone and the secondary infection is almost gone too. You can see the amount of hair loss his skin is looking much better and the hairs are starting to grow back. It will take months of treatments to make him as good as new but he is a lover and a real trooper.

Update 5/15: We took winslow out to an adoption last weekend and he did great. He has recovered so much and looks almost normal. Thank you so much for your donations and support!

Update 10/1: Winslow is all better now and ready for his forever home.

Update December 2010: Winslow is now the pampered dog he deserves to be!
